Today is International Women's Day, which means a lot to us here at Humble Hilo. We know that one of the most effective ways to pull impoverished communities out of poverty is through empowering women. By providing women with an opportunity for education and microcredit loans, we are seeing significant change happen. Not only are these women more confident and respected, but they use their knowledge and resources to support their families and communities, which is having a huge impact in helping them break the cycle of poverty they have been stuck in for generations. Great things happen when women in poverty are empowered and given opportunities, and we have seen it first hand.
